Job summary

Operators Unlimited in Upstate South Carolina is seeking a Wastewater Operations Specialist to join our growing team. You will operate a customer treatment plant in Aiken, SC, ensuring safe, compliant operations and partnering with the Director of Wastewater Operations to drive improvements.

You should be action oriented, customer focused, and ready to work with the OU team to grow the business. The role requires lifting, field work, and occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Operate wastewater treatment plants within permit limits.
• Communicate with the Director of Wastewater to ensure compliance and improvements.
• Work with the OU team to help grow the company.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customers with thankfulness.
• Work with the Director of Wastewater Operations to ensure customers remain compliant.
• Focus on improvements and growth in all aspects of the business.
• Understand SDS and utilize appropriate PPE and safety equipment as required.
• Understand the pH scale, calibrating pH meters, and adjusting pH as needed with limited assistance.
• Maintain records including flow reports, logbooks, rounds sheets, timesheets and mileage.
• Understand basic treatment functions including pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation, and clarification.
• Operate various treatment processes (DAF, Hydroxide Precipitation, Extended Air, etc.) with assistance.
• Understand discharge permits.
• Use Service Fusion, Acumatica and other systems with limited errors.
• Respond to customer needs including off shift and weekend hours as required.
