Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Wastewater Manager for the Milford, Delaware facility to lead wastewater treatment operations and the potable water system, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations while supporting safe, efficient operations.

You will manage staff, drive reliability, maintain records, and coordinate regulatory reporting, with occasional travel to remote agribusiness facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience in related field.
• Familiar with standard software applications.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the wastewater and potable system staff, including hiring, training and development.
• Ensure safe working conditions for all associates.
• Manage wastewater facility and potable water system to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor activities related to wastewater treatment and ensure parts, supplies, chemicals available.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are completed to minimize operational impact.
• Maintain records and logs as required.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Travel to remote Agribusiness facilities for meetings and to perform work.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor and Agribusiness management.

Summary

Lead critical environmental operations that protect our communities, support regulatory compliance, and keep our facility running responsibly and efficiently. As a Wastewater Manager, you will oversee the operation of the wastewater treatment facility while ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. You will also manage the potable water system for the ZCR Complex, guiding daily operations, supporting system reliability, and maintaining the highest standards for water quality and environmental stewardship. • Maintain required records and logs as required.
• Compile and submit regulatory reports as required.
• Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local, state and federal agencies as well as company policies.
• Required to travel to remote Agribusiness facilities for meetings and to perform work.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor and other Agribusiness management.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience.
• Understanding of standard software applications.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental studies.
• State Wastewater Class 5A and 3G Potable Water Treatment license.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Able to move freely throughout the G&O Division facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0-150 feet), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 degrees Fahrenheit), noise (50-100 db.), humidity (0-100%), and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
