Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wastewater treatment systems, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement solutions to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid costly system failures and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize treatment processes and improve system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any irregularities encountered.
• Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment and systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations and guidelines.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide technical support as needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a wastewater treatment facility or similar environment.
• Technical certification or associate degree in environmental science, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred, Ability to obtain ADEM Grade 1C Certification required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
• Physical ability to perform the required tasks, which may include lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
