Job summary

Collier County Public Utilities is seeking an Instrumentation / Electrical Technician I – Wastewater to manage field operations across the Wastewater Division. The role focuses on programming and maintaining electrical controls, instrumentation, and equipment at treatment plants and related facilities, including telemetry systems for lift stations.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of related experience, with fingerprinting required.

• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Program and maintain electrical controls, instrumentation, and equipment at wastewater treatment facilities and related sites.
• Install, program, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and electronic equipment.
• Operate telemetry computer to monitor lift stations and troubleshoot telemetry and control systems.
• Review, oversee, and inspect projects involving electrical controls.
• Ensure safe operation and coordinate with supervisors, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
