Job summary

GBA is seeking a Wastewater Collection & Treatment Group Lead to provide leadership across our wastewater treatment practice, supporting project delivery, technical excellence, team development, and strategic growth in Austin, TX (or Lenexa preferred). You will lead teams, oversee complex projects, and partner with municipal clients to improve infrastructure and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Significant experience in wastewater treatment and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor engineers and project managers.
• Strong client relationship and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead wastewater treatment teams across project delivery, staffing, and technical execution.
• Provide oversight for complex wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
• Support PMs and technical leaders in scope, schedule, quality, and client management.
• Mentor engineering staff and support career growth.
• Collaborate with market and operations leadership on resources and team growth.
• Build relationships with municipal clients, utility leaders, and industry partners.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
• Drive consistency in engineering standards and delivery quality.
• Collaborate across offices for integrated project delivery and market growth.
• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term practice development.
