Job summary

Synagro is seeking a dedicated equipment operator to safely run heavy machinery and monitor processing operations. You will perform routine maintenance, keep detailed records, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate reporting, and following company procedures to protect people and equipment; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Experience in making minor repairs and adjustments to operating equipment helpful.
• Receive, comprehend and utilize required training.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred.
• Experience in computer and electronic controls an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all equipment as necessary, including front-end loader, excavator, road tractor.
• Monitor and control processing operations in accordance with company policies and SOPs.
• Maintain records of operations including hourly operating data and abnormal conditions; comply with regulations and paperwork deadlines.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect for safety.
• Initiate emergency procedures to ensure safety and prevent damage.
• Complete daily inspections and cleaning; report malfunctions and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain paperwork accuracy and on-time submissions; comply with regulations.
• Secure tarps and load top coverings and wash spills as needed.
