Jacobs is seeking a motivated Wastewater Treatment Engineering Intern to support projects in Tempe/Phoenix, AZ and Denver, CO. You will work with experienced engineers on studies, designs, and field assignments, focusing on wastewater treatment and related process initiatives.

You will gain hands-on engineering experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to innovative solutions for clients and communities.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree program in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• 0–2 years of relevant water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment principles.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Understanding of pumps, valves, piping, and treatment equipment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with evaluating treatment and process alternatives for client challenges.
• Learn to analyze engineering problems and communicate technical solutions.
• Assist in designing pilot-scale treatment systems.
• Assist in planning and design of full-scale treatment systems and plant improvements.
• Develop facility layouts and P&IDs.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate process equipment, pumping systems, and valves selection.
• Perform data analysis and support computer modeling efforts.
• Assist with technical report preparation and documentation.
• Support construction and startup activities.
• Participate in field inspections under senior engineers.

Formation

Enrollment in degree program Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year

Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment principles
