Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a motivated Wastewater Treatment Engineering Intern to join projects in Tempe/Phoenix, AZ and Denver, CO. You will work alongside experienced wastewater engineers on studies, designs, and field assignments, gaining hands-on experience in water treatment processes and pilot-scale systems.

You will learn to analyze problems, communicate technical solutions, and contribute to construction documents while developing a strong technical foundation for future engineering roles.

Qualifications

Knowledge of engineering principles related to water and wastewater treatment systems.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
0-2 years of relevant experience in water, wastewater or related engineering projects.
Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or another closely related field.

Responsibilities

Support evaluations of treatment and process alternatives for client challenges.
Assist with the design and implementation of pilot-scale treatment systems.
Assist in planning and design of full-scale treatment systems and plant improvements.
Develop facility layouts and P&IDs under guidance of senior engineers.
Contribute to construction documents, drawings and specs.
Support equipment, pumping systems, piping, and valves selection.
