Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineering Leader to head municipal and industrial treatment projects in the Charlotte area. The role requires an established track record in water/wastewater consulting and a PE license.

The successful candidate will lead process design, modeling, and optimization, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and support business development with clients and proposals. A master’s degree and BCEE certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of water/wastewater consulting experience.
• P.E. license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with design and optimization of treatment processes.
• Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead municipal and industrial wastewater treatment projects.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support business development, proposals, client relationships, and presentations.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.

• 10+ years of water/wastewater consulting experience
• P.E. license required
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Lead treatment planning, process design, modeling, and optimization
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables
• Experience with BioWin, GPS-X, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or similar software
• Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, treatment technologies, and regulatory requirements
• Support business development, proposals, client relationships, and presentations
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams
• Municipal and/or industrial treatment experience preferred
• Master’s degree, BCEE certification, and professional organization involvement are a plus
