Job summary

Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts in Carson seeks a Wastewater Treatment Electrician (Electrical and Instrumentation Technician) to install, maintain and repair instrumentation, control equipment and electrical systems at the AK Warren Water Resource Facility.

The role operates a 9/80 schedule with some after-hours work and offers comprehensive benefits, ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement within the Districts.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, computer process control and electrical equipment.
• Substitution: 12 college units or 1 year of a two-year degree/certification program for one year of experience.
• Alternatively a two-year degree or certification program for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic control equipment.
• Read, interpret and prepare schematics, blueprints and equipment specs.
• Order parts and supplies; maintain records and reports.
• Instruct lower-level apprentices in trade techniques.
