Job summary

The City of Cincinnati seeks a Pre-Treatment Specialist to support regulatory compliance across Pretreatment, Surcharge, and related monitoring programs. Responsibilities include installing, calibrating, and maintaining monitoring equipment; collecting samples; performing field tests; and preparing regulatory reports to support program objectives.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in pre-treatment or related laboratory work with the City of Cincinnati.
• One year of college level chemistry and laboratory courses, including organic and inorganic chemistry, reading engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Drive to facilities to inspect and sample waste treatment facilities and monitoring stations.
• Collect samples of wastewater and related materials for laboratory analysis.
• Conduct field tests for pH, acidity, alkalinity, and other characteristics.
• Inspect equipment and install/maintain monitoring and sampling devices.
• Prepare reports and provide data analyses to support compliance and program objectives.
• Assist with enforcement actions and coordination with regulatory agencies.
