Job summary

The City of Jerome’s Wastewater Department is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform semi‑skilled and skilled tasks across the wastewater system, including monitoring lines, cleaning, and repairs. You will operate jetter and vacuum equipment and assist in emergency operations with on‑call responsiveness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of wastewater facility or semi-skilled maintenance experience preferred.
• Licenses to be acquired within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor collection routes, observe flow, remove obstructions and inspect lines.
• Operate jetter and vacuum equipment and perform line cleaning/repairs.
• Maintain lift stations and perform video inspections and root control.
• Record manhole conditions, perform locates, and report issues.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
