Job summary

The City of Stockbridge seeks an entry-level Wastewater Collections Systems Operator I to perform maintenance and inspection of the city's wastewater collection systems and related infrastructure. The role involves preventive and corrective tasks, equipment operation, and documentation of readings and spills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; .
• Must possess or obtain within 12 months of hire the Georgia Wastewater Collection License, Georgia CDL, and Flaggers License.
• Valid Georgia driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sewer lines and lift stations.
• Operate jet machines, rodding machines, vacuum trucks, and video inspection equipment.
• Record pump readings, monitor performance, and maintain reports and logs.
• Report sewer spills and participate in safety trainings.
• Conduct site upkeep and minor repairs at sewer sites and facilities.
