Job summary

King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division seeks a highly skilled Civil/Structural Inspector to provide in-field oversight for CIP projects, ranging from small work orders to large-scale contracts.

This role focuses on civil/structural discipline, coordinating with CM, O&M, and contractor staff to ensure adherence to contract documents and safety standards at the South Treatment Plant and other facilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical school training in civil engineering or related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible construction inspection experience or equivalent.
• Three years of experience as Wastewater Construction Management II preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with Project Representative, Contractor, and O&M teams.
• Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with contract specs and plans.
• Review engineering drawings and specs for wastewater treatment requirements.
• Document work in Daily Inspection Report and SharePoint/asset databases.
• Take photo documentation and upload to SharePoint.
• Apply expertise to help solve construction problems.
