Job summary

GBA invites an entry-level Civil Engineer I to join the Wastewater Environment team in the Austin area. You will engage in planning, design, and delivery of wastewater collection and treatment projects while learning from licensed Professional Engineers.

You will develop technical expertise in calculations, modeling, drawings, and documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and municipal clients to support project success.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0+ years of relevant experience.
• FE exam is preferred but not required.
• Introductory engineering coursework and some advanced design coursework are expected.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and design of wastewater collection and treatment system projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support hydraulic and treatment process evaluations and engineering modeling activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Participate in field visits and construction observation activities.
• Learn GBA design standards, engineering best practices, and quality processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
