Job summary

HKA Enterprises is seeking an entry-level water treatment plant operator to learn plant operations, equipment maintenance, and treatment processes while working with experienced operators.

You will perform routine maintenance, monitor systems, collect samples, and ensure compliance with safety procedures on an assigned shift. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma or GED are required, with at least one year of water treatment experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks at a water treatment plant on an assigned shift.
• Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water, sludge, and effluent under supervision.
• Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels; observe and report abnormalities.
• Operate valves, gates, pumps, engines, and generators to adjust treatment flow under direction.
• Maintain shift logs and record meter/gauge readings.
• Take samples and perform process control lab tests and analyses.
• Perform routine maintenance and custodial duties.
• Be fit and able to work overtime as needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $19.71 per hour
