Job summary

Actus Nutrition is seeking a Wastewater Operator for the Monroe, WI area. The role duties include operating and monitoring wastewater treatment systems, performing maintenance, and ensuring regulatory compliance on night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The ideal candidate has proven wastewater experience in a food manufacturing setting, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems, preferably in a food manufacturing or dairy processing environment.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to wastewater discharge in dairy processing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for interaction with plant personnel, contractors, and regulators.
• Ability to stand, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliant operation.
• Inspect equipment, tanks, pumps, and other wastewater treatment components regularly.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning filters and calibrating instruments.
• Collect samples and analyze wastewater to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Adjust chemical dosages and processes to optimize performance.
• Document operational data including flow rates and maintenance activities.
• Respond to alarms and system failures to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with plant personnel and external contractors for maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in training to stay current on wastewater technologies.

We are currently seeking a Wastewater Operator to join the Monroe, Wi team.

Shift: Nights, 6:00PM-6:00AM.

The Wastewater Operator will operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in a food manufacturing environment, and possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations related to dairy processing.

Waste Water Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient and compliant operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tanks, pumps, and other wastewater treatment components.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, replacing membranes, and calibrating instruments.
• Collect samples and conduct laboratory analysis to monitor wastewater quality and ensure effluent meets regulatory requirements.
• Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes as necessary to optimize performance and maintain compliance.
• Document operational data, including flow rates, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and system failures to minimize downtime and prevent environmental impacts.
• Coordinate with other plant personnel and external contractors for maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all activities in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Participate in training programs to stay current on wastewater treatment technologies and regulatory changes.

Waste Water Operator Requirements:

• Proven experience in operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems, preferably in a food manufacturing or dairy processing environment
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to wastewater discharge, particularly in dairy processing
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with other plant personnel, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to stand, climb, and walk during entire shift and ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
