Process Mechanical Journeyman

• Encompasses all Helper III Roles and Responsibilities as well as the following:
• Demonstrates understanding of McCarthy Safety Guidelines and Procedures. Safety is their top priority.
• Able to interpret drawings and perform basic layout and survey with Builder’s Level
• Experienced rigger and signalman
• Able and experienced to use all power tools, such as: rotary hammer, motor drill, band saw, Sawzall, skillsaw, grinder, impact wrench, etc.
• Able to work at heights
• Experience in installing ½”-6” PVC/CPVC schedule 80 pipe
• Experience in installing stainless steel tubing and compression fittings
• Experience in installing 4”-24” stainless and ductile iron flanged pipe
• Experience installing 4”-24” pipe supports
• Experience soldering and installing Copper Pipe
• Comprehensive knowledge of multiple Piping material applications: Steel/carbon pipe, Copper Pipe, PVC/PCV pipe, Poly Pipe, Stainless Steel pipe and Aluminum pipe, including piping layout.
• Perform testing, inspecting, and recording.
• Maintain all tools and equipment in serviceable condition.
• Use materials and other resources conservatively to promote project success and profitability.
• Install all systems and products per code, specifications, submittals, and contract documents.
• Provide applicable input promptly to maintain current “As-Built” record drawings
