Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a laboratory technician to set up and operate laboratory equipment, obtain samples for tests, and prepare chemical solutions. The successful candidate will also fill out mandatory test reports and ensure proper chemical reactions.

The role requires a High School Diploma and experience in paint line processes. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and adhere to safety procedures.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Sets up, adjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Obtains sample for laboratory tests and bacteria checks.
• Regulates and adjusts control devices to bring about proper chemical reaction.
• Fills out mandatory regulatory test reports and labels hazardous waste drums correctly.
• Cleans laboratory equipment and calibrates instruments.
• Prepares chemical solutions.
• Performs annual testing for customers.

• Knowledge & use of electrostatic applications/powder coating processes/wet spray applications
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Proficient communication skills
• Follow safety and environmental procedures
• Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Educational Requirements
