Job Overview
The Waste Technician collects general Municipal Solid Waste (trash, recycling, medical and hazardous waste) generated at client facility and categorizes by material type. Collection, hauling, storage and processing of pre-sorted waste and disposal of post-sorted waste into dumpsters, compactors, bailors, or trailers.

Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years recycling or solid waste experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experiences.
Motor Vehicle Report
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
May be required to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination records upon employment: Influenza, DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis), Meningitis, Meningitis B, Polio, Rabies, Yellow Fever.
CPR/AED/First Aid Certification a plus
May be required to possess a valid driver’s license
Complete all safety and task training certification
May be required to become forklift certified
May be required to have hazardous waste handler training per RCRA
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bilingual a plus
Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willingness to share with team
Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Compensation and Shift:
Tuesday-Thursday 3:00p-11:30pm
Friday -Saturday 10:00pm-6:30am
$17.50-$18.50 per hour
