Job summary

Wisconsin Counties Association is seeking a County Operations role in Pierce County to handle unloading, sorting, processing and loading of recyclables. You will operate a commercial vehicle and other heavy equipment while maintaining the facility and rotating tasks daily as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with a CDL license to be obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training is recognized.
• Must obtain a valid CDL license within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of traffic, recycling and safety laws and geographic knowledge of Pierce County.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle boxes/barrels up to 100 lbs with lift gate.

Responsibilities

• Unloading, sorting, processing and loading of recyclables.
• Operation of commercial motor vehicle and other heavy equipment to transport recyclables and perform general facility maintenance.
• Assigned tasks rotate and vary according to daily facility needs.
