Job summary

FCC Environmental Services seeks a dependable driver to safely operate a commercial vehicle and provide prompt waste collection services. The role requires a Class B CDL, ability to lift heavy objects, and strict adherence to DOT regulations to keep routes moving on schedule.

You will cooperate with dispatchers and customers, complete required reports, and help maintain safety and productivity across the operation. FCC offers medical/dental, retirement plans, paid time off and training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred.
• Class B commercial driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary.
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.
• FCC is a drug-free workplace with onboarding and random testing.

Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Safely operates vehicles on assigned routes including streets, neighborhoods and alleys.
• Manages controls and joystick equipment in line with safety procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers and customers to ensure timely service.
• Monitors vehicle status to minimize downtime and keep operations ready.
• Completes paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintains productivity standards to service all clients on time.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.
