Responsibilities

• Off-load inbound trucks and verify container counts.
• Load material into solidification pit and process via shredding operations.
• Assign inventory numbers and record data for waste processing.
• Operate equipment including pressure washers, hand tools, forklifts per policy and OSHA rules.
• Process inbound material using inventory tracking software and scanners.
• General cleaning and other duties as assigned.

Apply today!About the roleThe Waste Process Technician I is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks including but not limited to off-loading inbound trucks, verify container count, loading into solidification pit, processing of material through shredding operations, assign inventory numbers and other relevant data needed for waste processing. The Waste Processing Technician I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment.Position ResponsibilitiesUnderstand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.Administratively process inbound material / inventory using inventory tracking software and handheld scanners.Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.De-pack materials from original manufacturers packaging and sorting contents for disposal according to disposal plan.General cleaning of facility and grounds.Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMust be 18 years of age.Possess 8-hour DOT Certification Training (Or ability to complete).Possess 10-hour OSHA Training (Or ability to complete).Possess 8-hour HAZWOPER Training (Or ability to complete).Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills.Demonstrate attention to detail and time management.Must be computer proficient and able to operate with Microsoft Suite.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Physical Demands of the RoleAbility to walk, stand, sit, and climb for potentially extended periods of time.Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.Ability to operate forklifts and other power tools.Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.Consistently work in various weather conditions.All Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
