Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a waste handler to join our team in Summerville, GA. You will be responsible for keeping waste buggies emptied, maintaining a clean work area, operating a Genie boom, and safely using a lift truck.

This full-time role requires night shifts, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to perform various duties as assigned by supervision. We value reliability, physical fitness, and good reading comprehension to follow detailed procedures and policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Lift Truck Certification preferred/obtainable.
• Work in dusty/dirty environment.
• Good reading comprehension.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts.

Waste handler

Responsibilities:

• Must keep waste buggies emptied
• Keep floor cleaned with broom or blower, and perform various housekeeping task
• Operate tipper machine and maintain area around tipper motor free from trash and debris
• Use care to avoid injury to self and others
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested or required by supervisor and/or department head
• Follow all rules and regulations as described in company policies
• Must understand and follow all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area always
• Must be able to perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be willing and able to work night shift (12 hours)
• Must be able to follow all manufacturing safety rules and regulations
• Follow all rules and regulations as described in company policy including attendance policy
• Must be able to obtain a working understanding of operation for the sorting / grinding operation
