Job summary

NTN Bearing of America in Elgin, IL, is seeking a Waste Management Forklift Driver to ensure clean, orderly production areas and safe handling of waste materials. The starting wage is $21.00 per hour, with pay decisions based on knowledge, experience, and location.

You will operate forklifts, manage waste containers, and support 5S practices to keep the plant compliant and efficient. Requires at least 1 year forklift experience and ability to obtain forklift certification within our environment;

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of forklift driving experience.
• Able to become forklift certified within our environment.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to consistently meet job attendance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial forklift to transport waste materials.
• Operate waste compactors and inspect equipment.
• Empty and maintain all industrial hoppers.
• Schedule waste pickups with supervisor or contractors.
• Collect reusable scrap for salvage and store.
• Power wash or wipe operating equipment.
• Sweep debris and apply 5S for organization.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
