Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling in the Southeast is seeking a Collection Specialist to work with a Driver on residential, commercial, and industrial routes. You will safely lift and load carts, serve as the Driver's spotter during backing maneuvers, and maintain a culture of safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds repeatedly.
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a Driver to collect residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recyclables.
• Safely lift and load receptacles into collection vehicles.
• Serve as the Driver's spotter during backing maneuvers with visual guidance.
• Maintain awareness of traffic and hazards to ensure safe operations.
• Assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report concerns.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety policies.
• Support other collection teams or operations when directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
