About theRemote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) role at Headspace:

Headspace is currently seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are currently accepting applications from providers licensed in Washington.

Contractor therapists are asked to offer a minimum of 5 sessions/week, with the flexibility to offer additional sessions when needed. More is always welcome depending on your schedule. Please note that due to care demand and member scheduling fluctuations, it could take a number of weeks to achieve a consistent schedule.

The pay rate ranges vary by state and currently start at $80-$85 per session for Washington. Pay rates by state will be confirmed by the recruiter during the interview process. Session lengths are 60 min for an intake and 45 min for follow-ups, with concurrent note-taking expected and included in the session rate. Session rates vary based on location, licensure, experience, and other relevant factors.

All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. Work must be provided within the U.S., and personal health information may not be accessed outside of the U.S. Please note that only the 50 states are included, U.S. territories like Puerto Rico are excluded.

What you will do:

• Provide high-quality, innovative tele-therapy via HIPAA-compliant video platform
• Complete, sign, and lock clinical notes in EMR within 48 hours; note completion is included in the session rate
• Maintain a database with licensure and personal info
• Keep your availability calendar updated
• Communicate regularly with clinical leadership, responding to emails within 24 hours
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

What you will bring:

• Availability for at least 5 sessions/week, with flexibility to increase
• Night and weekend availability is a plus
• Competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.)
• Commitment to culturally responsive care
• Ability to deliver concurrent documentation
• Tech-savviness with care delivery technology
• Reliable internet and a secure location for Zoom sessions
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills
• 3+ years of clinical psychotherapy experience
• Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases
• Licensed Psychologist, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC
• Independent clinical license in good standing
• BC-TMH credential if required by your state

Preferred (If applicable):

• Multiple state licensure
• Psychologist willing to apply for or enrolled in PSYPACT
• Adolescent or Spanish specialty
• Familiarity with Headspace app and content
• Willing to support evening hours
