Novartis seeks a Director of Federal Government Affairs to lead advocacy with Congress, the Administration and agencies from its Washington, DC office, 3 days a week on-site. The role develops strategic policy engagement to support enterprise priorities and business objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with federal legislative, executive and public policy-making activities.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare/pharmaceutical policy and U.S. legislative processes.
• Excellent communication and data-driven decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day representation of Novartis on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies.
• Develop advocacy strategies aligning business priorities with policy objectives.
• Lead government affairs initiatives and shape industry engagement with PhRMA, BIO, and others.
• Advise senior leadership on legislative developments and policy risk management.
• Manage Stakeholder relationships across Congress, Administration, and policy groups.
• Report progress and adjust strategies with Public Affairs leadership.
