Qualifications

• 10+ years of federal government affairs/public policy experience.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. legislative process and federal agencies.
• Excellent communication skills in meetings with policymakers and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of healthcare/pharma industries or tax policy preferred.

Responsabilités

• Represent Novartis in Washington, D.C. by building a sophisticated Capitol Hill network and relationships with the Executive Branch and agencies.
• Align advocacy efforts with enterprise priorities across healthcare, tax, and workforce issues.
• Lead creation and execution of government affairs strategies to strengthen industry positioning and integrity.
• Develop strategic direction for outreach with federal officials, issue management, and third parties.
• Analyze legislative language and prepare executive summaries for senior leaders.
• Drive federal advocacy with associations like PhRMA, BIO, and other policy groups.
• Manage Public Affairs leadership expectations and communicate proactively with stakeholders.
