Job summary

Avanta Works is seeking a qualified Land Surveyor to join our Washington team on a contract basis. The role involves conducting surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and creating maps and reports for land development projects.

You will work with engineers and architects to ensure accurate survey results, read blueprints and legal documents, and support junior surveyors as needed. The position requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions and a professional, English-speaking environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Land Surveyor.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques and equipment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ArcGIS for map creation.
  • Ability to read blueprints, legal documents and other technical drawings.
  • Fluent English; Filipino nationality preferred.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys using total stations and GPS receivers.
  • Collect and analyze data on land features, boundaries and topography.
  • Create accurate maps and reports based on survey data.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects and other professionals to ensure accurate survey results.
  • Research land records and legal documents to determine property boundaries.
  • Provide guidance to junior surveyors on best practices and techniques.
  • Ensure all work is completed within project timelines and budget constraints.
