Job summary

PwC in Washington DC is seeking a DAT - Intern to gain exposure to digital assurance and audit processes within the Assurance practice. You will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the team's success.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MIS, B.A. analytics, CS, or IT.
  • Grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must meet CPA exam eligibility or CISA licensure requirements for the intended state.
  • Intern positions are entry‑level; typically third year or fourth year of study.

Responsibilities

  • Support audit teams by executing digital assurance tasks.
  • Observe and learn from experienced auditors on financial reporting.
  • Assist in applying auditing methodologies to improve accuracy and reliability.
  • Conduct basic research to support audit processes.
  • Evaluate internal controls and governance frameworks.

The Opportunity


As a Washington DC - DAT - Intern, you will engage in a dynamic learning environment, gaining exposure to PwC's practices and methodologies within our Assurance practice. You will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and performing basic tasks that contribute to the team's success. This role offers a unique opportunity to observe and learn from experienced professionals, enhancing your understanding of digital assurance and audit processes.


As an Intern, you will focus on developing your skills and gaining exposure to professional work environments. You will support teams by observing and participating in projects, applying a learning mindset, and taking ownership of your development. This role emphasizes the importance of appreciating diverse perspectives and actively listening to enhance your personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities



  • Supporting audit teams by participating in the execution of digital assurance tasks

What You Must Have



  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology

  • At least a 3.0 overall GPA

  • Before starting full‑time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • Client service intern positions are considered entry‑level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four‑year degree program or fourth year of a five‑year program at the time of application

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
