Job summary

Boyd Company is seeking a skilled laborer to operate pressure-washing equipment and steam clean heavy equipment and components. The role includes maintaining the washer, moving machinery with a forklift, and performing preventive maintenance in a safe, efficient manner.

The candidate will work outdoors under varying weather conditions, maintain a clean work area, and follow all safety rules. Prior use of high-pressure hoses is desirable; strong verbal and interpersonal communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and stand for long periods.
• Experience with high-pressure water hoses is desirable.
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Washes and cleans equipment to the extent required by supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
• Starts up and maintains pressure washing equipment and work area in safe, clean and orderly condition.
• Performs duties in a safe manner by following all work and safety rules and procedures.
• Operates material handling equipment as needed to move equipment to and from wash rack area.
• May be required to work overtime if needed.Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Job description

Operates pressure washer and high-pressure water hose to wash and steam clean heavy equipment and components; performs preventive maintenance on washer; operates material handling equipment (forklift) in a safe manner, moves heavy equipment to and from wash rack area.

Compensation up to: $20.95 an hour

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Ability to work under variable weather conditions (hot, cold, rain), stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive bending tasks
• Previous experience in using high pressure water hose system to wash equipment desirable
• Good verbal and interpersonal skills
