Job summary

Evolution-Driveline in Algona, IA is seeking an entry-level shop associate responsible for preparing clean part assemblies for pre-assembly. You will follow shop lead directions, handle parts from Tear Down, and help maintain a safe, organized workspace.

You will wash and blast components, transport them to pre-assembly, and participate in cross-training across shop areas. Basic mechanical skills and ability to work in a team are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Basic automotive or mechanical skills.
  • Familiarity and/or use of power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to cross-train in other areas of the shop.

  • Wash and Blast parts ensuring cleanliness
  • Transport parts to pre-assembly
  • Clean out scrap bin and empty trash at work station as needed.
  • Inform maintenance when machinery breakdown occurs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Other tasks as directed, including cross-training in other areas of the shop

Summary:

The primary function of this position is to ensure clean part assemblies are staged for pre-assembly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Receives direction from shop lead on the priority of work.
  • Receives parts from Tear Down
  • Wash and Blast parts ensuring cleanliness
  • Transport parts to pre-assembly
  • Clean out scrap bin and empty trash at work station as needed.
