Job summary

Don Mealey Sport Auto Group in Central Florida is seeking a Wash/Detailer to clean new and used vehicles at the dealership. The primary duties are exterior washing, interior cleaning, window care, and keeping vehicles presentation-ready.

You will inspect vehicles for cosmetic issues, apply protective treatments, and maintain a tidy workspace while following safety guidelines. This role offers opportunities to grow within a family-owned dealer group committed to customers and community.

Responsibilities

• Washes exterior, cleans interior and windows, wipes door jambs.
• Vacuums interiors to remove dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs and surfaces with appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
• Applies revitalizers to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabric for stains.
• Applies specialty cleaners to remove tough materials per product guidelines.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and cleaners.
• Inspects for dents, scratches, torn upholstery and mechanical issues.
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces with touch-up paints.
• Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using cleaning products.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Operates tools and equipment safely.
• Reports safety issues immediately to management.

Responsibilities:

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down door jambs.
• Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabric with spot and stain-resistant chemicals.
• Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation.
• Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces. Uses touch-up paint, dyes and other appropriate materials.
• Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
