Job summary

Fellowes Brands in Aurora, IL is seeking a Warranty Processing Clerk to manage returns on the line, run rework jobs in Oracle, and coordinate with multiple departments on the status of products under warranty.

You will unpack and test returned shredders, oversee repack for in- or out-of-warranty units, and supervise temporary staff while maintaining safety standards and accurate documentation.

Job Title: Warranty Processing Clerk

Job Summary

Process returns on the return line via Oracle and discrete rework jobs. Communicate with multiple departments on the status of returned product and the status of rework jobs. Unpack and test incoming returned shredders. Oversee repack function for support of in- or out-of-warranty needs on products such as shredders and binding/laminating equipment.

Job Duties

• Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment through the enforcement of housekeeping safety policies. Perform general housekeeping.
• Provide suggestions and feedback on improving departmental processes, performance goals, and environment.
• Complete all assigned rework and/or return jobs by designated dates.
• Repack No Problem Found (NPF) Units back into Factory Service and Warranty Replacement Machines.
• Receive product under discrete rework jobs as applicable.
• Receive and unpack product under RMA's (Return Material Authorization) as applicable.
• Unpack and repack warehouse damaged units.
• Perform receiving duties such as receiving incoming Purchase Orders (PO's).
• Locate received product into locations.
• Assist in overseeing a small group of temporary staffing employees.
• Assist in overseeing a small group of temporary staffing employees.
• Other related and similar duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

1. Have good oral and written communication skills.
2. Successfully complete and pass required lift truck operation tests and training and obtain and maintain appropriate lift truck licensing. Able to use RF (radio frequency) units.
3. Able to pay close attention to detail and follow instructions/procedures to meet quality standards.
4. Able to perform repetitive tasks (including physical requirements as described below) on a consistent basis.
5. Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance. Available to work overtime as needed, including weekend work. Available for mandatory overtime as appropriate based on business demands.
6. Able to fulfill all essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
7. Abide by all safety policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines in order prevent and reduce exposure to accidents and injuries.
8. Able to work in a team environment by assisting in training and facilitating job duties for team members (including temps). Demonstrate a positive attitude.
9. Proficiency with PC’s, including the following software packages: Microsoft and Oracle. Able to use Microsoft Outlook to communicate with people on other shifts and address issues as necessary.
10. Technical/mechanical aptitude.

Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of prior warehouse experience.

The hiring range for this position in Itasca is $20 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
