Job summary

EControls is seeking a Warranty Technician to perform failure analysis on returned electronic products, identifying root causes and system failures while documenting findings. You will troubleshoot circuit boards, use standard test equipment, and collaborate with quality and engineering teams to support corrective actions and customer communication.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Electronics Engineering technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience testing electro-mechanical units using standard test equipment and analyzing results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
  • Excellent soldering techniques with both with through-hole and surface-mount technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data. Must be able to work from moderately complex blueprints, inspection specifications, and verbal or written instructions with minimal supervision.

Description

The Warranty Technician is responsible for performing failure analysis on returned electronic products to identify root causes and system failures. This role troubleshoots circuit boards, documents findings, and collaborates with quality and engineering teams to support corrective action initiatives and customer communication. The position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation, and experience working with electronic test equipment.
