Job summary

Ampacity is seeking a Warranty & Closeout Coordinator to lead post-commissioning issue resolution, coordinating across warranty, supply chain, field operations, and engineering teams. You will manage intake, remediation, and formal closeout while supporting field staff with timely responses to customer needs.

The role involves documenting every step, tracking progress, and escalating blockers to ensure projects stay on track.

About This Role

The Warranty & Closeout Coordinator serves at Ampacity, serves as the primary point of contact for projects that experience issues after commissioning. This role coordinates the people, materials, schedules, and information needed to move post-commissioning issues from intake through resolution and documented closeout. Working closely with warranty, supply chain, field operations, scheduling, technical support, and other internal resources, the coordinator keeps stakeholders informed, removes roadblocks, and helps ensure each project receives timely, organized support. As a secondary responsibility, this position supports the technical troubleshooting team by helping respond to customer calls that require immediate field assistance.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000

What You'll Do

• Serve as the main point of contact for post-commissioning project issues, coordinating each request from initial intake through remediation and final closeout.
• Maintain a clear, current tracker of open issues, priorities, owners, parts, crew assignments, customer commitments, and next steps.
• Coordinate with warranty, supply chain, scheduling, field crews, operations, engineering, and other internal resources to build and execute practical remediation plans.
• Confirm that required materials, documentation, technical information, and qualified field resources are available before work is scheduled.
• Communicate status, risks, dependencies, and expected next steps to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the closeout process.
• Follow up on delayed parts, unresolved technical questions, scheduling conflicts, and other roadblocks, escalating issues when additional support or decisions are needed.
• Verify that remediation work is completed, supporting documentation is collected, and outstanding items are formally closed.
• Identify recurring post-commissioning issues and share trends with warranty, quality, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to support continuous improvement.
• Provide secondary support to the technical troubleshooting team by helping respond to customer calls requiring immediate field assistance, gathering issue details, connecting the appropriate technical resources, and coordinating follow-up actions.
• This role will evolve over time with the needs of the business.

What You'll Bring

• Ability to manage multiple open project issues, competing priorities, and cross-functional action items without losing visibility or momentum.
• Working knowledge of the solar tracking systems Ampacity supports, including commissioning, operations, common field issues, and service requirements.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, understand the urgency of field issues, and provide clear, consistent updates.
• Comfort working across warranty, supply chain, scheduling, field operations, engineering, and technical support to move issues to resolution.
• Ability to gather accurate information, organize symptoms and site conditions, and connect customers or field teams with the right technical resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer calls, internal handoffs, status updates, escalation, and closeout documentation.
• Comfort using Excel, Procore, or similar systems to track project status, parts, assignments, documentation, and completion.

Typical Work Environment

• Primarily office-based work with frequent coordination by phone, email, video conference, and project-management systems.
• Periodic visits to active solar project sites may be required to support issue assessment, remediation planning, or closeout verification.
• Project site visits may involve exposure to outdoor weather, construction equipment, noise, dust, and uneven terrain.
• Occasional travel (~10%) and schedule flexibility may be required to support urgent customer or field needs.

Physical Expectations

• Ability to work at a computer and communicate by phone, email, and virtual meeting for extended periods.
• Ability to safely walk active project sites and use required personal protective equipment when visiting the field.
• Ability to participate in required safety, product, and technical training.
