Job summary

Phillips Staffing is looking for energic, detailed oriented, and creative individuals to join a dynamic team at a leading textile, chemical, and floor covering solutions manufacturer in the Upstate. You will perform a variety of tasks related to screen printing, materials handling, quality inspection, and machining as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and experience operating sewing machines, with a rotating shift and a pay rate of $17.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Basic Math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Attention to Detail—thoroughness and accuracy.
• Adaptability—adapts to changes in the work environment.
• Ability to perform basic weaving tasks.
• Ability to properly draw in ends.

Responsibilities

• Will work as part of a team to lease empty warps, tie-in and pullover new warps.
• Prepare and tie-in replacement warps with minimum downtime in a quality manner.
• Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & absolutes.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner
• Meet production goals set-out by department manager
• Follow proper policies and procedures and job specifications set out by department and location
• Knowledge of Warp Replacement policies and procedures.
• Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities.
• Auditing safety items in department.
• Identify weave defects and perform basic weaving tasks (tying knots, drawing ends, etc.)
• Execute intermediate computer functions to locate and move batches.
• Lease empty warps and tie-in and pullover new warps.
