Job summary

Catholic Charities of Fulton & Montgomery Counties invites applications for Warming Station Staff to support a winter warming center. The role focuses on direct service, guest support, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment during the cold months.

Team members provide essentials, assist with intakes, and maintain cleanliness and order. The position offers two part-time shifts, November 2026 through April 2027, with a competitive hourly wage of $30.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or vulnerable populations.
• Empathy, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in all situations.

Responsibilities

• Complete all direct service tasks related to the warming center including intakes; providing material goods to guests as needed, interacting with guests, and providing them with referrals and/or information about area services and programs as appropriate
• Provide laundry service for guests, washing and drying the laundry for guests as requested
• Maintain a list of guests each day and provide that information to the supervisor as required
• Ensure that all policies and procedures of the warming center are followed by guests
• Upon arrival, set-up warming center, including cots, bedding, beverages, food, entertainment supplies, etc.
• Upon departure of all guests, clean and disinfect all equipment used and the warming center including bathroom and kitchen area

What You’ll Do as Warming Station Staff:

• Part time two shifts available:
• Evening: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Overnight: 12:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Compensation:

$30 an hour
