Job Description
To receive materials and stock warehouse shelves, aisles and outside storage areas in accordance with inventory locators. To fill orders by locating materials and preparing them for shipping, and to perform general clean-up of warehouse and outside storage areas. Participates in physical and cycle count inventories. Utilizes the inventory management system to keep track of all material activity. This position is the highest of a multi-step progression and is expected to know all aspects of Warehouseman duties for the Company. Lower steps in this classification are expected to progress into all aspects of these duties.
This position is instrumental in maintaining the reliability of systems used to ensure the safety of Avista’s employees and customers. Therefore, a positive safety culture is a primary focus for this position.
Requirements
Six months experience in shipping/receiving/issuing and inventorying materials preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems and computer experience including MS Office Suite required. Previous forklift operating experience preferred; and must pass Company forklift operator’s training program for continued employment. Requires valid driver’s license and must obtain a DOT medical certificate upon hire. Class A Commercial Drivers License or the ability to obtain is preferred. Other combinations of education/experience may be considered.
Classification Progression:
This classification contains five progressive pay steps. Candidates may start above step 1 based on their qualifications. Step increases are applied in six-month increments.
Candidates with a Class A CDL may start at step three or higher, dependent on qualifications. Candidates that possess a Class A CDL will progress to a sixth step.
