Job summary

Akwel Cadillac USA Inc is seeking a Warehouseman - Logistics in Cadillac, MI on a Regular Full-Time basis. The role focuses on managing the flow of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring proper packaging, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

Shift flexibility includes 1st, with possible 2nd/3rd shifts and overtime. Requirements include a Vocational Training/Technical School Certificate and a valid driver license, plus ability to lift heavy loads, operate forklift, and follow QSE² rules.

Qualifications

• Vocational Training/Technical School Certificate minimum, strengthened by experience in industry.
• Must hold a valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Manage the physical and computing flow of raw materials, supplies and products during reception, dispatch and internal flow operations.
• Ensure packaging of products is in good condition and correctly identified.
• Maintain warehouse and workspace cleanliness.
• Participate in warehouse stock takes.
• Adhere to Quality, Environmental and Safety procedures and group rules.
• Arrange deliveries and assist with supplier returns in coordination with the Quality department.

Warehouseman - Logistics

Salary Range: 17.25 To 17.90 (USD) Hourly - 1st shift

MAIN MISSIONS-Is responsible for the physical and computing flow of raw materials, supplies and products during reception, dispatch and internal flow operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Vocational Training/Technical School Certificate minimum strengthened by experience in industry.
• Must hold a valid Driver License

Technical Knowledge:

• Must have basic knowledge of warehouse management rules
• Must hold or be able to obtain a forklift truck license.

Delivery Process:

• Must make sure that the packaging of products handled is in good condition and correctly identified.
• Must respect the cleanliness of the warehouse and his/her workspace.
• Must take part in the warehouse stock take.
• Must apply all the Quality, Environmental and Safety procedures and operating instructions within the framework of operations linked to his/her job and the rules defined by the Group.

Reception:

• Must manage deliveries and if necessary must put all received products (e.g. client returns) at the disposal of the various departments on site.
• Is responsible for supplier returns in collaboration with the Quality department.
• Must correctly reports delivery anomalies and can be required to deal with them in collaboration with the procurers.

Internal Flow:

• Can be required to generate component transfer orders.
• Must supply components and evacuate finished products in a continuous flow in order not to disrupt the production line.
• Must take part in improving the flow.

Raw material:

• Can be required to generate raw material transfer orders.
• Must supply raw materials and evacuate finished products in a continuous flow in order not to disrupt the production line.
• Must take part in improving the flow.Must supply raw materials to the production workshop.
• Can be required to carry out Level 1 maintenance.

Dispatch:

• Must prepare orders according to transfer orders and must make sure that they comply with the client requirements.
• Is responsible for dispatch conformity

Must apply all QSE² procedures and operating instructions within the framework of operations linked to his job and the rules defined by the Group.

Agrees to act in accordance with the ethical rules of the Group.

Confidentiality:

• Has a duty to preserve secrecy and confidentiality with respect to all the systems and data to which he can be granted access, within the normal framework of his function.

General Requirements (applies to all) :

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a occasional daily basis, warm environment
• Ability to use hands/arms for repetitive button pushing for majority of shift.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. on a constant/daily basis, including overhead pushing and pulling, as well as ability to work in a hot environment. There will be the requirement to lift/push/pull over 50lbs (including overhead).
• Ability to use hands/arms for repetitive gripping, pushing and pulling for majority of shift as well as potential ability to work over the shoulder for a portion of the shift,if necessary.
• Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Procedures related to the area and accurately perform the job trained for.

• Must posses valid driver license
• Able to provide at least 2 working references with dates, names and phone numbers.
• Available to work up to 5 days a week, including Overtime and Saturdays
• Understand that the company has a Zero Tolerance Policy for drugs.
• Have not been convicted of any violent felonious act.
• Must pass an interview with our hiring team, as well as the supervisor of the shift in which they will be assigned.
• Warehouse Shift Hours & Days :1st shift 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with overtime as needed

Candidates must have the ability to work on 2nd or 3rd shift if needed to cover and occasional Saturdays – Company may also require occasional overtime (coming in early or staying over late for shift)
