Job description

Signature Graphics is a locally owned, full-service heatset and coldset commercial printer with direct mail advertising and graphic design businesses located in Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington. Since opening in 1984, Signature has become one of the largest printers in the Pacific Northwest, and we are currently looking for a Part-Time Warehouse Driver to help with delivering and loading and unloading materials around the plant using a forklift and to perform other warehouse duties.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Warehouse Driver delivers products by driving motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight on public roads. This position also performs warehouse work that involves moving, loading, and unloading materials around the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift. This position pulls product and assembles them for shipment, packs product in boxes and uses banding and shrink-wrap machines. This position also uses computers and other electronic devices.

SCHEDULE (must have some flexibility):

Monday – 7:00am to 5:00pm. One Monday a month.

Tuesday – 8:00am to 4:30pm

Wednesday –8:00am to 4:30pm

Thursday – 8:00am to 4:30pm. One Thursday a month.

Friday – OFF

Saturday – OFF

Sundays – OFF

Average of 20 hours per week

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Moves, loads, and unloads materials around the plant and in/out of vehicles using a forklift
  • Pulls product and assembles them for shipment, packing product in boxes and using banding and shrink-wrap machines
  • Collaborates closely with other personnel and management to ensure shipping deadlines are met
  • Drives motor vehicles up to 26,000 pounds in gross weight, including a manual transmission, 26-ft. straight truck,
  • Follows all safety guidelines, minimizes down time of forklifts and machines, and keeps all forklifts and machines in safe working conditions
  • Performs required daily basic maintenance and safety checks on all vehicles driven

Basic Qualifications
  • Forklift Certified, or able to become certified
  • 3 years’ experience driving forklifts, vans, and small trucks
  • Must have a valid state-issued Driver License and proof of insurance
  • DOT Medical Certification – paid for by company and renewed yearly
