Job summary

Dixie Plywood & Lumber Co in Garland, TX, is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store, load and move building materials. Monday–Friday with possible overtime; forklift operations required.

You will read orders and bills of lading, count and perform basic arithmetic, unload inbound materials, load outbound deliveries, identify products, keep the warehouse clean, and maintain good customer relations at the pickup window.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to effectively and safely handle a forklift.
• Must be able to read the customer order, shipping order, purchase order, and/or bill of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Must be able to count and perform simple arithmetic.
• Must be able to physically move material either by forklift or by hand to unload incoming materials from railcars, trucks; and, to load outgoing deliveries.
• Must be able to identify products and accurately handle items specified on written company documents.
• Must be able to keep warehouse clean and orderly.
• Need to maintain good business relations with customers who come to the warehouse to pick up material.
