Job summary

5th HQ in New York is seeking a Seasonal Lumper to support busy periods in our warehouse. You will load and unload freight, sort and stack products, and ensure shipments are handled safely and accurately.

This seasonal/occasional role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with possible extra hours. It requires physical strength, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures. Experience in a warehouse is preferred; forklift certification is a plus but not required.

The Lumper is responsible for unloading and loading trucks, sorting and stacking products, and ensuring all shipments are handled safely and accurately. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move, stack, and organize products in designated warehouse areas.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and accuracy.
• Operate pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company procedures and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory control and report damaged goods immediately.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (30+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or loading dock environment preferred.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and warehouse safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a team and follow directions.
• Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
• Availability to work seasonally/occasionally during busy periods.
• Flexibility to work additional hours if needed.
