A leading company in healthcare is seeking a warehouse worker to operate various material handling equipment and assist with warehouse tasks. This role supports production needs and involves maintaining an orderly work area while adhering to strict safety and quality policies. Ideal candidates should be DOT and Hazmat certified and have a strong attendance record.
The warehouse worker is required to operate all material handling equipment such as propane and electric forklifts, stretch wrappers, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.
Has a solid understanding of warehouse stock locator systems, barcode systems, electronic scanners, parts catalogs, and computer systems.
Moves stock and rotates materials according to FIFO for incoming and outgoing materials.
Arranges materials in the warehouse as per KanBan bin requirements and replenishes departments using scanners and the KanBan system.
Assists in company physical inventories and cycle counts.
Cross-trains in different warehouse areas such as receiving, shipping, production warehouse, sterilization, UPS / small package duties, requiring the warehouse worker to work eight (8), ten (10), or twelve (12) hour shifts, including weekends.
This person will support the warehouse supervisor and coordinators in daily operations and overall performance.
Essential Functions
Supports all production needs and assists groups in delivering raw materials and supplies in a timely manner.
Places released materials in the warehouse or KanBan locations, verifying materials via barcode scanners.
Prepares materials according to KanBan and bin systems.
Assists production to fulfill their roles supporting KanBan.
Operates pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, scales, cranes, barcode/scanner equipment, dock levelers/dock restraints, wheel chocks, etc., safely under prescribed regulations.
Performs cycle counts and physical inventories of raw materials and finished goods as required.
Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Follows all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures, including RCRA hazardous waste regulations.
Adheres to all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma / GED is not required.
Minimum Experience:
Must have a good work and attendance record.
Must be able to become licensed to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Must be DOT and Hazmat certified.
