USA TODAY Co., Inc. is hiring a Part-Time Mailroom Inserter for our Des Moines, IA production facility. The role pays $18.00 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and 30+ hours per week.

Start times may vary based on production needs, and the team operates seven days a week in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include feeding preprinted materials into inserting machines, monitoring equipment to prevent errors, ensuring correct inserts, lifting bundles weighing 10–50 pounds, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to monitor production equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and stack newspaper products weighing 10–50 pounds or more.
• Ability to adjust to changing work assignments and production needs on short notice.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Feed preprinted materials into inserting machine hoppers accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor inserting equipment to help prevent double inserts, skips, and other production errors.
• Ensure newspaper products contain the correct inserts and meet quality standards.
• Remove completed bundles weighing approximately 10–50 pounds and stack them for the next stage of production and delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing paper, skids, and production debris.
• Follow established safety procedures while working around forklifts, pallet jacks, inserting machines, and other production equipment.
• Assist with other production assignments as needed.
