Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join an excellent team in Clyde, OH. This role focuses on safe, accurate handling of inventory and shipping tasks in a non climate‑controlled warehouse.

Shift is 3rd shift, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday. Pay is $19.66/hour with a $1.00 shift differential, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k), PTO and a $1,500 retention bonus after 120 days.

Qualifications

• Sit-down forklift preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, provide customer service, multi‑task and manage time and numbers.
• Flexible to work overtime preferred.
• Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to work the required schedule and location.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately match numbers and letters.
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading.
• Loads and unloads trailers.
• Opens and closes dock doors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Reads work orders or instructions to determine work.
• Records numbers of units moved using daily sheets.
• Operates forklifts or pallet jacks where applicable.
• Packs containers for shipping and scans items in system.
• Assists with inventory and quality checks.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately match numbers & letters
• Accurately stage and sort products for loading
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Opens and closes dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas
• Pulls manual dock chain
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Moves materials within the warehouse
• Complies with all safety requirements
• Packages or kits finished product for shipping (shrink‑wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Electronically scans products using a warehouse management system
• Performs quality control
• Ensures damaged products are identified and removed when received
• Completes daily logs
• Communicates with associates from other shifts
• Attaches identifying tags to containers or marks them with identifying information
• Reads work orders or receives oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Records numbers of units handled and moved using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Assembles product containers and crates using hand tools and precut lumber
• Packs containers and re‑packs damaged containers
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
• Uses computer to enter records
• Prepares parcels for mailing
• Maintains inventory records
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
• Operates forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable)
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
