Job summary

Slumberland is hiring for a fast-paced Distribution Center warehouse role. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, Monday–Friday day shift starting at 7:00 AM.

All new hires receive a formal 90‑day evaluation, with potential for an additional $1.00–$1.50 per hour based on attendance, safety, training completion, productivity, teamwork, and reliability. This role involves loading/unloading furniture, moving and storing merchandise, inspecting inventory, and operating warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or in progress.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols.
• Forklift/equipment experience is a plus, not required.
• Basic math and computer skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture from semi-trailers.
• Move, store, pick, and stage merchandise in the distribution center.
• Operate warehouse equipment to move product safely.
• Inspect merchandise and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Prepare merchandise for shipment, pickup, or storage.
• Help train and support other team members.

Starting Pay: $18.50/hour | Monday-Friday Day Shift | 7:00 AM Start

Earn more based on your performance: All new hires receive a formal 90-day evaluation. Employees who are meeting or exceeding expectations may be eligible for an additional $1.00-$1.50/hour based on attendance, safety, training completion, productivity, teamwork, and reliability.

Quarterly Bonus Opportunity: This position is also eligible for our team-based performance bonus. When Distribution Center productivity goals are achieved, eligible employees can earn an additional $500-$750 quarterly bonus!

What You Can Expect

This is a fast-paced, physical warehouse role. We move furniture, and we move a lot of it! You'll spend your day on your feet, working alongside your team to safely receive, move, store, pick, and load merchandise.Our day starts at 7:00 AM Monday-Friday. End times vary based on workload and volume.Previous warehouse or forklift experience is helpful, but we're willing to train the right person who is dependable, works hard, puts safety first, and enjoys being part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Load and unload furniture from semi-trailers.
• Move, store, pick, and stage merchandise throughout the Distribution Center.
• Operate warehouse equipment to safely move product.
• Inspect merchandise and ensure inventory and orders are accurate.
• Prepare merchandise for shipment, customer pickup, or storage.
• Help train and support other team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper merchandise-handling practices.
• Pitch in wherever needed to help the team get the job done.
