Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation in Fontana, CA is seeking a Warehouse Associate I to receive, unpack, and stow materials, and to pick, pack, and ship products under direct supervision. The role includes light assembly, operation of forklifts, and recording quality checks as needed.

The successful candidate will alert leadership to any shortages or equipment issues and participate in safe, efficient warehouse operations while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with LTL and UPS shipping.
• On a continuous basis: stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good communication, data entry, basic math and organization skills.
• Experience with standard hand and power tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Off-loading trucks utilizing forklift and pallet jack.
• Verify quality, type, and amount of materials received.
• Break down freight and place product in consolidated locations.
• Pick and pack orders onto pallets for shipping.
• Package outbound shipments with appropriate wrappings and boxing.
• Create bills of lading for truck carriers and manifest UPS shipments.
• Tag products and shipments for identification and tracking.
• Adhere to all safety responsibilities and guidelines.
• Assist with related duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Description

Under direct supervision, the Warehouse Associate I receives, unpacks, checks, and stows warehouses materials. Picks, packs, crates, and ships product to fill orders.Conducts light assembly work, operates power equipment, and performs a variety of tasks under direct supervision.

Perform quality checks as needed and properly record results if necessary. Alert Leadsperson of any quality problems, part shortages, machine breakdowns or any other situations.

Key Accountabilities

• Off-loading trucks utilizing forklift and pallet jack
• Verify that the quality, type, and amount of materials received are accurate
• Breaking down freight – Hand off-loading of product to consolidated put-away location
• Picking product orders – Hand loading product to pallets
• Packaging outbound shipments – Wraps, straps or over pack boxing of product
• Manifesting UPS shipments
• Creates bills of lading for truck carriers
• Produce and attach identifying tags to product or shipments
• Fulfills all safety responsibilities
• Perform other related duties as assigned by Production Supervisor/Lead

Qualifications/Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Utilization of various forklifts and machinery equipment
• High School Degree or equivalent preferred
• On a continuous basis: work in a standing position, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with both LTL and UPS shipping
• Good communication, data entry, basic math and organization skills
• Experience working with standard hand and power tools
• Ability to work in a team setting

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00
