Description:

The Warehouse Worker’s main responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. This person ensures the warehouse is clean and organized, maintained in accordance with the facility protocols and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for receiving and inspecting products, accurately labeling items, and reporting any discrepancies in reconciliation of deliveries and invoices.
  • Organize and store all incoming products in assigned locations, applying FIFO (first in, first out) inventory controls for perishable products.
  • Operate manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and/or forklifts after training.
  • Pick inventory to assemble orders of products, supplies, and equipment for requisitions or established par levels.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
  • Load, unload, and transport products and materials within the warehouse and to other client locations, utilizing carts, powered industrial vehicles (PIV), or motor vehicles as needed.
  • Conduct routine physical inventory counts based on established location schedules.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately, including inventory records, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and other relevant business records, either on paper or digital systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including restrooms, break areas, loading docks, freight elevators, and freight platforms when applicable.
  • Implement safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures, using all required safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure the security of client and company assets.
  • Interact professionally with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests regarding business activities and attend meetings as required.

Qualifications
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse experience (2 years preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Some client locations may require a valid driver’s license; an MVR check may be part of pre-employment screening.

This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
